Madrid’s Metro network spans much of the city and is a great way to get around the city. It’s also affordable and easy to use. It has convenient connections for the Cercanias network as well as to Madrid Airport.

In addition to the network’s 13 lines, there are also three Metro Ligero (Light) lines. These three lines make up the city’s light rail system. Madrid Atocha is on Line 1.

The service runs daily from about 6.00am to 2.00am. During peak periods, there is a frequent service with trains every 3 to 4 minutes.
