Check-in your bags!
If you have some time between your connections at Madrid Atocha, you’ll be pleased to know the station has left luggage lockers (consignas in Spanish).
They are located in the Embarcadero area of the station, which is where passengers board the trains. They’re on the other side of the tropical gardens to the platforms. You’ll find them underneath the Samarkanda restaurant (the raised section against the glass windows at the end of the old station). Alternatively, look for the Burger King, which is also close to it. When you are in front of these doors, you should be able to see the “CONSIGNAS” sign clearly to your left at the end of the passageway.
Left luggage lockers: opening times
The left luggage facilities are open 365 days of the year. You can access them daily between 05.30 and 22.20. They have small, medium and large lockers. You can see up-to-date prices on the Adif website (Adif is the company managing Spain’s railways).
