Atendo: assistance for passengers with reduced mobility

Atendo is Renfe’s free passenger assistance service for those with reduced mobility or other disability. The service at Madrid Atocha includes guidance, information and help with access around the station. Atendo staff can also assist passengers with getting on and off trains. And the service is available at all times of the station being open.

How to get help

A request for help can be made at the time of booking train tickets. If you’re not doing that in person at a ticket desk, you can call the helpline (phone number below).   • Ground floor: there is a desk behind the escalators, close to the Metro entrance (and the Rodilla kiosk)
  • Second floor: there is a desk close to the exit/entrance doors
